Emergency, theatre, radiology and blood bank
hospital.hayaterp.com ↗The hospital's departments — the emergency board and triage, operation theatre bookings and notes, the radiology worklist and reports, and the blood bank.
These screens sit beside reception, OPD, IPD, the laboratory and pharmacy described in Hospital workspace. Everything a department charges ends on the patient's bill, so billing and the accounts stay in one place.

Departments
Departments lists clinical, diagnostic and support departments, each with its head and the doctors who work in it. + Department adds one; Doctors links doctors to it.

Emergency
The Emergency board shows open cases in five columns by triage colour, most serious first, with how long each patient has waited. The counts at the top show today's cases, open, admitted and discharged.

| Triage | Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Red | Resuscitation |
| 2 | Orange | Emergent |
| 3 | Yellow | Urgent |
| 4 | Green | Less urgent |
| 5 | Blue | Non-urgent |
Register an arrival
- Click + New arrival. Find the patient, or register a new one — an unknown patient is fine (name Unknown patient, age and gender).
- Choose how they came (walk-in, ambulance, referral) and who brought them (relative, Rescue 1122, Edhi…). Tick MLC for a medico-legal case.
- Pick the triage level, type the chief complaint and the vitals (BP, pulse, SpO₂, temperature, respiratory rate, sugar).
- Choose the doctor and the ER fee, then Register arrival.

Treat and close
Click a case to add treatment notes, orders and repeat vitals, order lab tests and radiology, and add charges (dressing, nebulisation, ECG, observation…). When the patient leaves, click Close case… and choose:
- Discharged, Referred (to which hospital or department), LAMA or Expired — enter a discount (with its reason), a promo code and what is paid now. The bill is made from the ER charges.
- Admitted — choose the consultant and bed and take an advance deposit. The ER charges move to the admission's running bill.
Operation theatre
Operation theatre shows the day's schedule by theatre: surgeries, procedures, deliveries, dialysis and endoscopy. The same theatre or surgeon cannot be double-booked.

- + Book: patient, procedure, theatre, date, start time and minutes, surgeon, assistant, anaesthetist and anaesthesia type, and notes (implants, special equipment, blood arranged).
- On the day open the case and tick the pre-op checklist, then ▶ Start (patient in theatre).
- Notes & complete…: operative notes, post-op orders and complications. For a delivery record the mother's condition and each baby's weight, time of birth and APGAR scores.
- Add anaesthesia charges, consumables and extras (implants, mesh, sutures), then ✔ Complete & charge. For an admitted patient the charges go to the stay; otherwise a procedure bill is made.
Radiology
The Radiology worklist (X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, ECG and echo) has tabs Pending, To report, Ready and All, urgent orders first.

- + Radiology order: patient, exams, referring doctor (or referred by for outside doctors), clinical notes and Urgent if needed. The diagnostics bill is made with the order; tick Collect payment now to take the money at once.
- The technologist clicks Done when the exam is performed.
- The radiologist writes the report — Save draft while working, ✔ Sign report when final.
- Signed reports are Ready: 🖨 Report prints it and Handed over records that the patient has it.
Blood bank
The Blood bank counts only screened, unexpired bags as stock. Tabs: Cross-match, Bags and Donors.

- + Donor and Donation record a donor and the bag collected (whole blood, packed cells, FFP or platelets). New bags wait in quarantine until screening passes; failed bags are discarded.
- + Cross-match request: patient, blood group, number of bags, requested by and indication. The technician records Compatible — reserve (bags are held for the patient) or Incompatible.
- Issue the reserved bags. Each bag is charged at its own rate (or the rate you type) — to the stay for admitted patients, or billed now. In a life-threatening bleed a bag can be issued without cross-match, with the reason recorded.
Discounts and payments: points, store cards and bank offers
Closing an ER case, completing a theatre case, a radiology order (tick Collect payment now) and issuing blood all take payment in the same way:
- a discount with its reason — welfare / zakat reasons can be set to need approval — and a promo code for hospital promotions;
- Paid by cash, card, bank, Loyalty points (type the member's card number or phone) or Store card (card number and PIN);
- for a card, its first 6 and last 4 digits — if the patient's bank has a card offer, the discount is taken off and only the rest is charged.
Anything left unpaid stays on the bill; collect it later from Billing → Receive.
