Install the app and work offline
Install any Hayat portal on a computer or phone like an app, and keep working when the internet drops.
Install Hayat as an app
Every portal — the ERP, hospital, shops and the employee portal — can be installed. It then opens in its own window with an icon, starts faster and works offline.
- Open the portal in Chrome or Edge and sign in once.
- On a computer: click the install icon at the right end of the address bar (a screen with a down arrow) and choose Install.
- On Android: tap the ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen → Install.
- On iPhone: in Safari tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
What works without internet
Hayat keeps a copy of the screens you use and the data you last loaded.
| While offline you can… | What happens |
|---|---|
| Open any screen you have used before | It shows the data from your last visit, with a yellow Offline banner and the time it was saved. |
| Mark attendance, apply for leave, raise requests | Saved in an outbox on the device. |
| Create tickets and replies, CRM leads, calls and service-job updates | Saved in the outbox. |
| Register patients, give OPD tokens, enter vitals, notes and lab results | Saved in the outbox. |
| Sell on the POS | The till has its own sales queue — keep selling; receipts get their numbers and FBR invoice numbers when it reconnects. |
When the connection comes back, Hayat sends the outbox in the order you made the changes. The banner shows how many changes are waiting and turns green when everything is sent.
If a change could not be sent
Sometimes the server refuses a change made offline — for example the leave dates overlap, or someone else already closed the ticket. The banner then shows failed changes. Open it to see each one with the reason, redo it if needed, and clear the list.
Updates
When Hayat is updated, the app picks up the new version the next time it opens. If a screen looks out of date, close all Hayat tabs or windows and open it again.
