Blacklist and alerts
gate.hayaterp.com ↗The Hayat Gate blacklist — stolen, wanted or banned vehicles for one site or all sites, severity, Alert or Deny, expiry, evidence photo and phones to SMS — and the alerts it raises with tailgating, overstay and gate PCs offline: sound on screens, SMS, acknowledging and resolving with a note.
The blacklist is the list of vehicles you want to stop or watch: a stolen car reported by a resident, a vehicle banned after a fight, an ex-employee, a car the police asked about. When a blacklisted plate is read at any lane, Hayat raises an alert at once. You need Set up sites… (gate.manage) to change the blacklist; guards with Guards: … (gate.operate) handle alerts.
Add a vehicle to the blacklist
Blacklist → + Add:
| Field | Fill |
|---|---|
| Site | One site, or All sites (a security company's list for all its clients) |
| Plate | BKR-123 — typed any way; misreads like 8/B are still caught |
| Reason | Short and factual: Reported stolen, FIR 123/26 Clifton, Banned by society committee 12 Oct |
| Severity | Low, Medium, High or Critical. High and Critical sound an alarm on every open Hayat Gate screen. |
| Action | Alert: warn the guards. Deny: also keep the barrier closed. |
| Expires | Optional end date (a ban for 3 months) |
| Notify phones | Extra mobile numbers for an SMS on each hit, besides the site's alert phones |
Evidence photo (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB) — a photo of the car or the FIR — helps the guard recognise it. Each entry counts its Hits and the last time seen. Remove takes a vehicle off the list; its past hits stay in the log.
Alert or Deny?
| Alert | Deny | |
|---|---|---|
| Barrier for a blacklisted registered vehicle (a resident's car) | Opens; guards are warned | Stays closed |
| Barrier for a blacklisted unknown vehicle | Stays closed | Stays closed |
| When the gate PC is offline | Stays closed; guard decides | Stays closed |
| Alert, SMS, sound (High / Critical) | Yes | Yes |
Use Alert when you want to know but not block (to watch a car or to stop it calmly at the cabin); use Deny for a vehicle that must not enter.
Alerts
Alerts shows everything that needs a guard's attention, newest first. Besides the blacklist, Hayat raises:
| Alert | When |
|---|---|
| Blacklist | A blacklisted plate was read at a lane |
| Tailgating | A second, unread vehicle passed within a few seconds of a car the barrier opened for (setting Tailgating, 4 s) |
| Overstay | A vehicle has been inside longer than the setting Overstay (24 hours) |
| Device offline | A gate PC has not been in touch for 5 minutes (setting Device offline) |
Each alert shows the plate, photo, lane and time. New alerts pop up on the guard screen and the dashboard; High and Critical ones beep until someone acknowledges.
Handling an alert
- Acknowledge — I have seen it and I am on it. Add a short note if you like. The beeping stops and others see who took it.
- Check the car at the cabin, call the supervisor or the resident, follow your site's procedure.
- Resolve with a note — required — e.g. Owner showed papers, car recovered, removed from list or Police informed, vehicle turned away.
The Blacklist hits report shows how fast alerts were answered and which are still open.
Who gets an SMS
On a blacklist hit, an SMS goes to the site's Alert phones (site setup) and to the entry's Notify phones. SMS goes through your business's messaging settings, so keep SMS credit topped up.
