Paid parking
gate.hayaterp.com ↗Ticketless paid parking with Hayat Gate — tariffs per vehicle class (free minutes, slabs, hourly rate, daily cap, night rate, lost-ticket fee, grace), how the fee is worked out, the cashier exit screen (cash, card, JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast, pay link QR), receipts, waiving a fee, paying by plate before walking to the car, occupancy by floor, and where the money goes in the accounts.
With paid parking there are no paper tickets. The entry camera reads the plate and opens the barrier; at the exit the camera reads it again, Hayat works out the fee from the time inside, and the barrier opens once it is paid. Registered vehicles and monthly pass holders drive out without paying.
Turn on Paid parking on the entry and exit lanes of the car park (Lanes). The cashier needs Take parking payments… (gate.cashier); tariffs need Set up sites… (gate.manage).
Tariffs
On the site, Tariffs → + Add tariff, one per Vehicle class (Car, Bike, Commercial):
| Field | Example (car, a mall in Lahore) | Means |
|---|---|---|
| Free minutes | 15 | Drop-offs up to this long pay nothing |
| Slabs | up to 60 min Rs 50 · up to 180 min Rs 100 | The fee for the first hours, by total time |
| Each hour after | Rs 50 | For every started hour after the last slab |
| Daily cap | Rs 500 | The most charged for one 24-hour block |
| Night rate | Rs 300, 22:00–06:00 | Charged once per night the car stays at least an hour inside the night hours; those night minutes are not charged by the slabs |
| Lost ticket fee | Rs 1,000 | When there is no entry record — the entry was not read, or the car came in another way |
| Grace minutes | 15 | Time to reach the exit after paying |
With this tariff: 10 minutes → free; 50 minutes → Rs 50; 2 hours 20 minutes → Rs 100; 5 hours → Rs 100 + 2 × 50 = Rs 200. A car that stays for days pays up to the daily cap for each 24 hours, plus the night rate for each night.
Try on the tariff works out the fee for any number of minutes and start time, so you can check it before going live.
The cashier exit screen
The cashier keeps Cashier open on a PC or tablet at the exit lane. When a car with a fee reaches the exit, the screen shows it at once, with the photo, plate, entry time, time inside and Due.
- Check the photo matches the car in front of you.
- Choose how the driver pays: - Cash — type the amount received. - Card — charge on your card machine, then type the machine's reference (required). - JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast or Bank — with a reference. - Pay link — shows a QR code the driver scans to pay online (valid 2 hours). The screen turns Paid by itself.
- Take payment. The barrier of that exit lane opens, and the receipt (GPK-…) prints on the 80 mm printer or can be shown as a QR for the driver to keep.
Find a car: type the plate to see what a car owes before it reaches the exit. Not found? Hayat suggests close plates (a misread).
Lost ticket / no entry read: tick Lost ticket to charge the lost-ticket fee instead.
Waive (managers only, gate.manage) lets a car out without paying, with a reason — a VIP guest, a complaint, the mall manager's own car. Waivers are on the Guard actions report.
If the camera did not read the plate at the exit, the guard types it on the guard screen as a manual exit.
Pay by plate before reaching the car
Each site with paid parking has a public pay page (the address is on the site page; print it as a QR code on signs near the lifts and the food court). The driver types the plate, sees the fee and pays by JazzCash, Easypaisa or card. The exit then opens by itself for the tariff's grace minutes — no queue at the cashier.
Online payments use your business's payment gateway settings.
Occupancy
Occupancy shows, per zone and floor, the capacity, the cars counted inside, the free spaces and a Full flag — useful for a "Basement 2 full" sign at the entry. Counts come from entries and exits. If they drift (a car left through the emergency gate), a guard can Adjust a zone with a reason. Peak occupancy by day is in the reports.
Sessions
Each stay is a session: entry, exit, time inside, fee, paid. Sessions lists them with filters, and flags oddities: exit without entry, entry without exit (a car read in twice), overstay. A manager can Close a session left open by mistake, with a note.
